The Cabas Alto, the largest and most sought-after bag in the Cabas family, has unfortunately been discontinued. This tote gained significant attention after being featured in Louis Vuitton advertisements, notably seen with Angelina Jolie, which led to a surge of interest in the Cabas line—so much so that Louis Vuitton decided to reintroduce the style for a limited time. Ideal for all-day or weekend use, the Cabas Alto combines a simple yet stylish design, making it a timeless piece to treasure for years. It is crafted from double-lined Monogram Canvas with a sturdy vachetta base and robust leather straps.

Louis Vuitton's iconic Monogram Canvas has been a hallmark of the brand since its debut in 1896. Featuring graphic elements like quatrefoils and flowers, along with the LV monogram, this design was originally created to deter counterfeiting when it was patented. The coated canvas not only offers a classic appearance but also exceptional durability.

While the exterior canvas remains clean and attractive, there is creasing throughout. The lip of the opening has cracks, the bottom corners show some wear, and the leather has developed a caramel patina, with water spots scattered across the bottom leather base. The leather lining at the base exhibits signs of wear and soiling, along with several indentations. The handles also display faint soiling, wear, and creasing. Additionally, the goldtone hardware shows surface scratches. Inside, the bag is clean and in good condition, although there is a faint perfume odor present. Used bags usually do NOT smell like new and have individual smells that are perceived differently depending on personal sensitivity. The age of the bag can bring with it a specific scent.
